Newark Brewery beer has been well received in the Newark area and can be found in many of the towns pubs, bars & restaurants. The brewery is becoming increasingly well known throughout the East Midlands appearing on Bars in Nottingham, Lincoln, Stamford, Manchester and as far away as Scarborough particularly for the signature beer Norwegian Blue. rve the former malting’s on William Street which has housed a malting's pre dating the street itself! The building is now used for brewing, seeing a return of the trade to Newark-on-Trent after nearly 30 years. The brewery houses an eight-barrel plant, with a capacity to produce 1,600 litres in each run. The aim is to produce high quality hand crafted ale, with a focus on the traditional brewing techniques while implementing some forward thinking recipes and adventurous hop combinations

Hello All
The lovely people who have been taking our spent grain have retired. We can provide 300/400 kilos of spent malt a week. Any local farmers (or you know of any) that would like to have this, please drop us a line. :)

Great to have Two Beers listed for The Champion Beer of Nottinghamshire Competition and Festival also known as CBoN. Newark Brewery will be represented by Norwegian Blue & Newark Phoenix.

The festival takes place between Thurs 26th Feb to 1st March at The Canalhouse, Canal Street, Nottingham. NG1 7EH.

The festival is to award the prestigious Champion Beer of Nottinghamshire, where up to 36 Breweries from the county will be judged by CAMRA members & invited guests to compete for the title.

Once the judging has taken place on the Thursday there will be a beer festival starting at approximately 5pm featuring the beers that have been entered which runs until the Sunday. Check out the Nottingham CAMRA on Facebook or Twitter for more information.

The Canalhouse is a short walk from Nottingham train station ideal for anyone visiting from Newark. It'll make a great day out to taste the best that Nottinghamshire has to offer.
