Hospitality is at the heart of our local community. โค๏ธ๐ฝ๏ธ
At The Mine Neath Town, we are proud to be an independent restaurant and bar serving our community, creating memorable experiences, supporting local employment and contributing to the local economy.
Like many hospitality businesses across the UK, we are facing increasing financial pressures. Rising wages, energy costs, food prices, National Insurance increases and business rates are placing significant strain on independent venues like ours.
The UK hospitality sector is also burdened with one of the highest VAT rates in Europe at 20%, while many European countries benefit from reduced VAT rates to support restaurants, cafรฉs, pubs, hotels and tourism businesses.
That's why we're supporting the campaign and its call for a reduced VAT rate of 10% for the hospitality sector.
A fairer VAT rate would allow businesses like ours to continue investing in our team, protecting local jobs, improving our venue and delivering the quality, value and service our guests deserve.
We're not asking for special treatmentโwe're asking for a fairer playing field that allows independent hospitality businesses to thrive and continue supporting the communities they serve.
Please support the campaign and visit: ๐ www.vatstheproblem.co.uk
Every meal, drink, event and visit helps support local jobs, local suppliers and independent hospitality businesses like ours.
Thank you for your continued support. โค๏ธ
