Polite notice
Our landlord and lady are having their once a year holiday this week which means the kitchen will be closed until the 27th August. Nat has however, left enough pies and sausage rolls to keep you going until she gets back.
It also means that John is back from Friday to Sunday! As you may know he comes with the following disclaimer. Ahem...
" Warning. The old man behind the bar may discuss matters likely containing language and views that are outdated and not deemed acceptable in today society. These views are that of the individual and do not in any way represent the Taverns ethos."
Please dont take offence or leave bad reviews, he is old and grumpy and he cant help it.

Honestly enraged by the amount of rubbish my regulars have just brought back from the monument for us to recylce. If you went up there to watch the solar eclipse and left all your crap up there consider yourself barred. How can your conscious allow you to watch a natural phenomenon and trash not only the nature around you but someone's private land in the process. I guarantee you're the sort of people that will bitch in 10 years that theres nowhere green for your kids to play when you knowingly played no part in preserving what we already had. Absolute disgrace. Thank you to the people that actually give a 💩 about our country side and went litter picking after the masses left
