Bordeaux. You've probably ordered it. But what actually is it? 🍷

It's not a grape. It's not a style of wine.

It's a region in south-west France that's been making wine for more than 2,000 years and has become one of the most famous wine-producing areas in the world.

It's also home to Château Bessan.

So next time you order a glass in a Joule's pub, you can casually drop that fact into conversation and sound very knowledgeable indeed.

Final preparations today for new planting, the soil has been conditioned, organic nourishment added, turned tilled and generally fussed. The final prep today is to ensure the surface is fine enough for one year old Sauvignon Blanc vines which can last for a hundred years or more, so well worth all this effort!
