A brand new vermouth with a story as old as time

Forty-Five Vermouth is a truly British vermouth with industry at its core. Made with 100%

English wine and then fortified with a blend of botanicals, we set out to create an aromatic

vermouth to take on the tiresome and confront the ordinary.

WHAT’S FORTY FIVE?

The name Forty-Five comes from the Doomsday Book of 1086 when King William the

Conqueror commissioned a great survey of all landowners in England and parts of Wales.

The number 45 relates to the number of vineyards recorded in that book when they were

first categorised and counted, all in south-eastern England.

We’ve sourced Pinot Blanc wine from the award-winning Stopham Estate Vineyard in the

heart of Sussex and by sourcing the finest English wine, we’ve not only ensured we’ve

created a sustainable product, but one that supports the industry it’s borne out of.

Made at the Spirit of Manchester Distillery, the crisp apple tones in the wine have been

expertly infused with a blend of herbs, spices, fruits and flowers to captivate your senses and

inspire your creativity.
