Tonight's the Night, people!! Here's all you need to know:

LON Singles Night (aka Pick & Mix) takes place from 7PM TONIGHT

Arrivals and venue:
Green Carnation London is at 4-5 Greek Street, Soho, W1D 4DD (Tube: Tottenham Court Road/Piccadilly Circus). You will enter a small foyer area as you walk through the front door. LON Singles Night is straight through the double doors ahead and into the VIP bar. Do not go up the stairs.

Don’t arrive later than 8.30pm – or you’ll miss out on lots of the fun – and happy hour! Magician Nick Crown will start strolling just after 9pm. Plus, it’s much better for everyone, not least our door helpers, if you don’t arrive too late.

It's also very helpful if you arrive in your friend pairs. If for any reason one of you is no longer able to attend, please do let us know by email ([email protected]) ASAP.

Ladies, we have to be harsh. If your male friend is a no-show, you won’t be able to come. Same goes for the men (but this generally doesn’t happen!). If you have friends who would like to come but have not RSVP-ed, we’d love them to join in, But they will have to come with a single member of the opposite s*x and the door charge will apply.

You will be asked to pay £15 to our door helpers as you walk in. In return you will get a ticket which you can redeem for a cocktail at the bar.

Food & drink
The bartenders at Green Carnation London have created two signature cocktails – one for the guys, one for the gals - especially for our event. Happy hour is between 7pm-9pm. During this time this time cocktails are two for £8, beer is £3, spirits are 4.90, a bottle of wine is £10 and a glass of wine £4.50. After 9pm, the prices go up. You may want to bring cash as the minimum credit card spend at the bar is £10. Food-wise, we'll lay out some crisps other basic nibbles. However, if you want a big meal, better to eat beforehand!

Fun stuff – including our special guest
There's no speed-dating or lock and key malarkey. As usual, there will be a - totally optional - lucky dip box of "conversation starter" questions at the bar and doing the rounds if you want some inspiration. We recommend that you try to do a room-round with at least one good question.

WE’RE ALSO RUNNING A TOP-NOTCH RAFFLE This is a charity raffle with all money raised going to Unseen Tours, a wonderful team that runs London tours with homeless people as guides http://sockmobevents.org.uk/

The prizes will be two Unseen Tours for two people. There will also be a one-hour consultation, worth £150, with the UK's leading relationships adviser Paula Rosdol up for grabs. If you came to our previous event, you'll remember Paula, who was offering free mini-consultations on the night. She was a massive hit. www.paularosdol.com

There’s also going to be a bunch of other goodies.
Raffle tickets cost £1 and can be purchased from Rebecca and her helpers. We’ll all be wearing name badges, so you don’t have to! All winners will be announced that night.

In terms of other activities on the night, we reckon you should not only be on the lookout for yourself, but play top wingman/woman for the friend you've come with - nothing like a bit of matchmaking fun if you're that way inclined.

Having said that, we really want to stress that this isn’t your typical meat-market singles event. We think of it as a party for our mates where everyone just happens to be single. If you meet someone you fancy, fantastic. But if not, you’re still likely to meet lots of fun, interesting new friends. And Rebecca and I work hard on the mingling front, so if you notice anyone in particular you want to be introduced to, just let one of us know and we’ll do the rest.

Less than two weeks to go now 'til LON Singles Night and we've got some fantastic new updates:
Our charity raffle will be supporting the fabulous work of Sock Mob Events. It is a volunteer network that runs the incredible Unseen Tours - London tours with homeless people as guides. There's more info on them below.

Just over two weeks to go and the RSVPs are flying in thick and fast. This is amazing! Check out the event page for details of the September 27 event in Soho and share it with your friends. Get them involved before we run out of space!
LON Singles Night is being held in the VIP bar at Green Carnation, Soho, from 7pm til late.
Entry costs £15, which is payable on the door. The price includes a free cocktail to get you in the right spirit. Get there nice and early and you get two cocktails for £8 until 9pm.
We'll have the usual features - a raffle, proceeds of which will go to a charity, plus the totally optional conversation-starter lucky dip. There might even be some other surprises. Details will be revealed in the coming weeks.

You'll be glad to know ....
This isn’t your typical meat-market singles event so it's best not to think of it that way. It’s really like a friend’s party – We are hard-working hosts and hostesses on the mingling front – where everyone just happens to be single. If you meet someone you fancy, fantastic. But if not, you’re still likely to meet lots of fun, interesting new friends. As for age range, there’s no restriction; most people are in their 30s, but there are plenty in their 20s and 40s too.

One more thing ...
A small request if you are returning - if possible, we'd prefer that you not come with the same person again. You and your previous friend are both very welcome, but if you each bring someone new, it'll keep things fresh and growing. You get the idea!
