Welcome To The Monkey House is an occasional live music and club night hosted by London band Sisteray. The night features live bands and DJs playing alternative and indie music, focusing on classics, exposure for new bands and dancefloor fillers
To date nights have taken place at The Black Heart in Camden and the Victoria in Dalston. From a performer and promoter point of view the aim is to be as
musician friendly as possible and build up our community of like minded artists and performers. It was also set up as an alternative to the growing number of unhelpful 'pay to play' nights. We are interested in hearing from bands who think they can contribute, people who fancy themselves as DJs and anyone else who wants to help and get involved. We also adopt a positive policy of ensuring that at each event there is always at least one female musician onstage - we were operating 'balance' before it was trendy for festivals etc. to adopt it. So we are especially keen to hear from bands with female members. The sort of tracks we play are by:
