Gleann Mór released this beautifully aged 30-year-old Glenlossie single malt under their Rare Find label. Distilled in 1992 and bottled in 2023, this Speyside whisky was matured in a single refill sherry butt (cask 3501), showcasing Glenlossie’s house style with remarkable maturity and elegance. Bottled at cask strength (55.2%) with natural colour and no chill filtration, it was award a Silver Medal at the World Whiskies Awards 2025.

Nose: Apricot, fudge and banana with sweet notes of butterscotch.

Palate: Warm, spicy oak with creamy vanilla and sherried dried fruits.

Finish: Long and creamy with notes of bitter chocolate.

This is Old Perth’s limited Palo Cortado release. Palo Cortado is a sherry of great complexity which combines the delicate bouquet of an Amontillado with the body and palate of an Oloroso. This release was bottled at cask strength of 55.8%

Nose: Fragrant honeysuckle, vanilla cream and spiced biscuits.

Palate: Honeycomb, candied nuts and ripe orchard fruits.

This is a very special Tobermory 28 Year Old bottled by Chapter 7 from a single bourbon hogshead at 52%. Tobermory is often recognised for its textured, cereal-forward style and gentle coastal influence. With 28 years in cask, that personality becomes refined and complex.

Nose: Fresh half-baked baguette, ale, muesli wet rocks, flower honey.

Palate: Natural barley sweetness, apple juice, honey, Turkish Delight, and sweet caramelised condensed milk.

Finish: Peppery, waxy, citrus rinds and dried herbs.

A beautiful single whisky to celebrate industry legend Mike Collings remarkable 50 years in the whisky industry. This particular release is a 2012 Caol Ila which Mike has aged in a custom-made marsala cask, before bottling at cask strength of 57.3%

Nose: Everything Islay, and more. Salty enough to be pulled from the ocean. Peaty enough to be laying in the heather. Smokey enough to be fireside and Dunyvaig castle.

Palate: Smokey BBQ notes mingle with salty, peppery peat. Add a dollop of marsala sweetness and lingering sweet oak and we are in Islay heaven.

Finish: Sweet smokey BBQ lingers and keeps reminding you of this special whisky.

This is a whisky to be sipped, savoured and shared with special friends.

This Auchroisk 9 Year Old is a 9-year-old Speyside single malt bottled by Woodrow's of Edinburgh as part of their Warehouse Reserve range. Finished in American & European Oak PX sherry Quarter Casks for 2 years before being bottled at natural cask strength of 53.2%, it highlights Auchroisk’s fruit-led character.

Nose: Rich toffee, cocoa, nutmeg and cereal notes.

Palate: Rich and spiced. Treacle, dark chocolate, digestive biscuits, raisins, orange zest, tannic and warming spice.

Finish: Long, drying and spice-led, with lingering dried fruits and notes of ginger, clove and nutmeg.

Here we have a single cask Glen Moray 28 Year Old bottled by Rare Find from a bourbon hogshead at a natural cask strength of 42.1% (those angels have been greedy over nearly three decades.

Nose: Ripe banana, vanilla ice cream, and lemon.

Palate: Smooth with toffee and honey.

Finish: Gentle, sweet and moreish.

Here we have You Wear It Well - a Speyside Distillery 9 Year Old aged in a single oloroso sherry cask and bottled by Jack and Dana at The Uncharted Whisky Co. An outturn of 286 bottles at 53% ABV, natural colour and non chill filtered.

Here are my tasting notes:

Nose: Bright red fruit wrapped in sherry sweetness with vanilla cream and light oak. Light buttery fudge with berries. A touch of cinnamon.

Palate: Medium mouthfeel. Speyside in a glass. Full of smooth red fruits. Redcurrants, strawberries and cream, raspberries. Milk chocolate and walnuts. Light wood spice. Alcohol is well integrated.

Finish: Medium to long with more of those beautiful fruit notes and a touch of mocha.

Overall: Speyside sherry executed beautifully. A lovely, well-rounded dram, that will delight fans of fruity Speysides. Drinks at least three years older than its actual age statement.

This is Old Perth Bodega, a limited edition Old Perth release matured in a combination of Oloroso, Pedro Ximénez, and Palo Cortado sherry casks – including liquid drawn from Old Perth’s unique 70-year-old solera. Inspired by the great sherry bodegas of Spain, this whisky carries a vibrant ruby hue and a rich, evocative character.

Colour: Vibrant ruby.

Nose: Spiced oak, bright orange zest, rich treacle, and dark fruits.

Palate: Chewy treacle tarts with almond, hazelnuts and a hint of cinnamon.

Non-chill filtered, natural in colour, and bottled at 52.4%, Old Perth Bodega delivers intense complexity with silky sweetness, refined nuttiness, and a smooth, lingering finish.

A beautiful single cask whisky to celebrate industry legend Mike Collings remarkable 50 years in the whisky industry. This particular release is a 2011 Mannochmore which Mike has aged in a custom-made Muscat cask, before bottling at cask strength of 59.6%.

Nose: Warm butterscotch, sweet malt, gentle oak with a hint of fortified fruit. Sense of freshness and autumn fruits.

Palate: Sweet malt entry, lively spirit. Oily, rich cream / pastry. Lush and textured. Honey, sweet oak, good length, lingering sweet malt. Slight new oak note mid palate. Hints of drying oak tannins towards the end. Good balance and integration.

Finish: Great length and presence, hangs around for ages.

This is a whisky to be sipped, savoured and shared with special friends.
