A chocolate World Cup masterpiece!

55cm high, 10kg in weight and made entirely by hand using Peruvian chocolate.




First step - research.

Getting the scale and dimensions just right is almost as important as the sculpting.

This step alone took over 6 hours.

Stage one of the build:

Moulding then carving the World.

The intricate detail is what takes a sculpture from ‘average’ to ‘awesome’.

Building the trophy on a solid base, to prevent it toppling over meant using in excess of 5kg of chocolate.

The top half of the trophy was filled with strawberries & cream flavoured, shiny-coated crispy balls.

This created an opportunity to SMASH the trophy apart and see two-thousand balls fly everywhere.

Chocolate heaven!

Our master-chocolatier, Maria, spent 24 hours perfecting this sculpture.

This was one of the most difficult stages - getting the abstract figures just right.

Giving up is not an option, but if it was, this is where it would have happened 😅

After a final gold dusting, here is the final masterpiece to admire.

The sheer scale of this sculpture is not that obvious from this image. At 55cm tall, it really is a work of art.
