Some reflection…it’s a long one!
I’ve recently had a health setback, and it’s made me think a little bit about how I ended up setting up my business in the first place…In 2018 I was diagnosed with post viral fatigue after a bad case of glandular fever. It completely wiped me out and I just couldn’t get back to how I was before, gradually I improved but not enough for me to return to full time work so I decided to put my sewing skills to good use after a few years of not making anything - combining my love of music with creating things I made a cushion inspired by my favourite band - Kings of Leon.
Making something fairly niche gained some attention on Instagram and I was soon followed by lots of fellow fans who really helped me out by sharing my work and ordering custom makes (forever grateful!)

Fast forward to 2020 and pandemic times where best-sellers were now football cushions and banners thanks to Liverpool finally winning a league title, once again I connected with lots of fans on here and Twitter and even though lockdown was awful in lots of ways, it really helped me through that time being busy making things and sending out orders. Once things were back open properly again I moved to Liverpool and carried on with my business while working part-time too, I was fairly lucky that I found a good balance and my symptoms only really flared up if I was unwell or run-down.

Unfortunately after a stressful few months I recently suffered a relapse of PVF/chronic fatigue (Google the NHS symptoms and I’ve had every one over the last few weeks!) I do really appreciate that people’s experience of these sorts of illnesses can differ a huge amount and I do feel grateful that I am able to still work and continue with my business while I figure out getting back to a good level.

Thank you to everyone that has continued to support my small biz over the last few years🙏🏼
