Get ready to swing, jive and stroll to the sounds of the 40s and 50s at Saltdean Lido.
Rockin’ Rendezvous is bringing a full afternoon of dancing, music and vintage find.

Expect everything from smooth swing and jump jive to doo-wop, R&B and early rock ‘n’ roll. It’s the kind of music that makes it very hard to sit still.

Alongside the dancing, we’ll have a vintage market set up with some really lovely stalls. Retro clothing, little finds, bits you didn’t know you needed. Perfect if you want to build a look or just have a browse between dances.

Tickets are already selling quickly, so if you’re thinking about coming, it’s worth getting yours sooner rather than later.

Dress up if you like. Swing dresses, sharp suits, something simple with a vintage feel.

What a fantastic day at Rockin’ Rendezvous on Saturday! So many lovely people came along to enjoy the October sunshine, great music and good vibes.

Having just had a hernia operation, I was a bit out of action, so a huge thank you to Tash for keeping everything running so smoothly and for looking after me sitting at my table. I’m so glad I managed to be there.

This one was held in honour of the late DJ Pete “Jivin’ Man”, who we sadly lost recently. I’m sure he was looking down on us with a smile and foot tapping — he would’ve loved it I'm sure.

Huge thanks to DJ Tom Dean, DJ Eight Beat Mac, and Eight Beat Mable for keeping the dance floor rockin’ all day long — you did Pete proud.

And most of all, thank you to everyone who came and supported us and the iconic Saltdean Lido.

Our Next Rockin Rendezvous is Saturday 17th January 2026 (Celebrating Tash's birthday), Tickets will be on sale soon through the Saltdean Lido website.

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Pete ‘Jivin Man’ who was booked to be Djing for us this Saturday. Due to sudden illness he had to step down a few weeks ago and we were shocked to hear the news this morning that he had lost his battle. I know so many of you dancers will remember him fondly, so we would like to dedicate our dance on Saturday to his memory.
We are lucky enough to have Dj Tom Dean step in and replace Pete along with Dave Ebj Fairbairn, who both knew him well.
RIP Pete
We hope you are playing some music somewhere and having a dance with the lovely Jude who we also lost recently.
