Hi All
Sorry I haven't posted before to follow up our recent meeting. We have decided to postpone winding up Tafarn Cymunedol Y Bont until July to give us time to find people or even just one person with the energy and interest to take forward this wish to turn the Bont into a community pub . The current Committee are happy to assist and support but don't currently have the time or energy to do it alone. This could be a great opportunity for someone with vision to lead this initiative. Please contact Cathy Davies on 01994 419219 if you might be that person/people.

So sorry but the date for the meeting was actually the 17th January and we have decided to delay winding it up. More news soon. There will NOT be a meeting on the 24th January.

Hello everyone
This is just a short message to let you know that as we have got nowhere with trying to buy the pub for the community, we are seriously thinking of putting an end to our efforts. The pub is currently up for sale as a 3 bedroom House (not as a pub) so it is clear there is no intention from the owner to keep it as a pub. As our offer to buy it was rejected by the owner we don't feel there is much option but to wind up unless we can demonstrate that there is loads of community support for what we are trying to do I.e. buy the pub to run it as a community facility. If you want us to carry on with our intention to set up a community pub, then please come to the next meeting on 12th October at 7.30p.m. In the Bont. If you don't we will know there is no support for our plans. Support the pub in Llanglydwen or lose it - this is the choice!

Next month we will be doing a mail drop to all the local communities (and wider) telling them about our campaign to save our local pub and asking them to support our share offer. Share issue now launched. Spend £100 or more and buy into a lovely pub in rural Wales. Buy a little piece of Welsh history and help us save it for the local communities. No pubs, schools or meeting places left in adjacent villages. Details will be published here shortly. Watch this space.....

Well we are preparing our Share Prospectus and website at the moment ready for an imminent launch of selling community shares in the venture. Look out for the formal launch and share/ tweet this to everyone you know - anywhere in the world!!
