Thornton Hough Village Club & Bar Grass roots music venue in the heart of the beautiful village of Thornton Hough, Wirral. AMERICANA/FOLK/BLUES/COUNTRY/INDIE & more.

This historic venue was built by the first Viscount Lord Leverhulme and opened in 1904. There is a beautiful function room available for private hire and a lively bar serving quality ales, wines and spirits at very reasonable prices.

If you are lucky enough to have tickets for tonight’s IAN PROWSE event here’s all the info you need.

DOORS OPEN AT 7PM. No need to print out your ticket. Just give your name on arrival. Seating is first come first served. Arrive early, especially if there’s a group of you. It’s a full house so you may have to share a table and make new friends. The music starts at 8PM with Paul Nowak and we expect it to finish about 10.30pm. The bar stays open until 30 mins after the show if you fancy another. Please help staff a little by returning your glasses to the bar 🙏.
The Arriva 487 Liverpool to Neston 🚌 stops right outside. The bus back to Birkenhead/Liverpool is 50 mins past the hour and to Neston 18 mins past the hour. If arriving by 🚘 there is on street parking in the village (Thornton Common Road, Raby Road, Smithy Hill). You can park outside the club, but please don’t park on pavements - they are for people. Our postcode is CH63 1JL. DO NOT PARK IN THE PUB - YOUR CAR MAY BE LOCKED IN IF THEY CLOSE EARLY.
PLEASE REMEMBER the bar is our only source of income. We are much cheaper than other venues and our bar sales also support local breweries. If you’re driving we have a wide range of non-alcoholic drinks - LIFE IS TOO SHORT TO DRINK LIME & SODA ALL NIGHT 🤢🤮.
