Today we popped into - I love it!
It is so inspirational and full of wonderful Spanish antiques . The colour and textures and of then of course the staples !!

So many gorgeous pieces.

Do you like to eat snails with garlic butter and parsley and fresh French baguette ?

Not for me but I do love the little pots they are served in.

They have many uses we have heard about over the years, candles, dolls house plants or trees, spices, ketchup, quizzes.. what is this item and many more

We are home and the van unpacked .

This is a photo of my Dad, Graham Young, he gave up 2 years of his life for national service in Edinburgh & Trieste, Italy with the Royal Scots Regiment. This photo was taken of him as he walked on Parliament with other old soldiers when the government of the time decided to do away with or amalgamate regiments.

This photo was on the front page of the Independent newspaper the next day!
It was found today in my brother Drew’s bedside drawer along with our dad’s watch . My sister in laws family is keeping it safe for me until I can collect them both.

Dad passed away in October 1992 from Pancreatic cancer - he was an ophthalmologist who when he first qualified ran a clinic at Moorfields, would visit people at home if they were unable to get out, and later he had an Opticians in Victoria London on Wilton Road.

When Sue sent me this photo it was such a surprise to know my brother had kept this. They were both similar, very strong willed and extremely clever and didn’t always get along, but love conquers all in the end .

I didn’t take many photos this morning - I think I was enjoying myself too much chatting with friends and looking at such lovely antiques.

Only bought a couple of things but we are so happy with them.
