Since taking on The Black Horse in 2011, Alan and Sarah have made this pub unmistakably theirs — creating a fantastic community pub, championing great cask ale and building the Laughter Loft into a comedy destination that has welcomed some extraordinary names.

And after 15 years with Everards, there was one thing Alan wanted us to know:

“The people are great and they’ve always been so good to us. I’ve got nothing but love for Everards.”

And we’ve got nothing but love for Alan and Sarah too! ❤️

Thank you both for 15 fantastic years, for everything you’ve brought to The Black Horse and for the many memories made along the way.

Now it’s time for that motorhome, another dog, plenty of exploring — and, of course, those six Saturdays and a Sunday!

Here’s to your next adventure, Alan and Sarah. We’ll miss you! 🍻

Pub will be closed Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday.
Pub will reopen Friday 11th September 3pm, with your new Landlord Sam
