8 years ago today we went to the and our Dice Box journey started! We fell for the hobby and we just wanted to share it with as many people as possible!! And boy have we done that! Through our own Dice Box and also through the other 7 stores we have, we work with the most amazing people to bring The Dice Box to everyone over the UK!

It just shows, if you dream it you CAN do it!!

What a journey it's been and what a journey we still have!!

Thank you to everyone who has supported us over the last 8 years, we would be nothing without every one of you!!!!

Not a surprise, but good to hear.

UK Games Expo 2026 has officially been our biggest event ever.

This year we welcomed a record breaking attendance of 87,837 people across the weekend, with 51,196 unique ticket holders joining us at the NEC for an unforgettable celebration of tabletop gaming.

From packed gaming halls and exciting new releases to tournaments, live entertainment, roleplaying games, painting competitions and special guests, UKGE 2026 was bigger than ever before.

These incredible numbers would not have been possible without our amazing community. Thank you to every visitor, exhibitor, volunteer, guest, trader, publisher, designer and member of staff who helped make this year's Expo such a success.

Thank you for being part of the UK's biggest hobby games convention. We cannot wait to welcome you back next year.

I am not at UK Games Expo today, hence me feeling relaxed, but I had a nice day there on Friday. I took the train to the show with several of the BoardSilly gamers, but we split the party while collecting our tickets.

Once in the halls I immediately bumped into my mate and ex-BoardSilly regular Graham, who I had planned to meet. We wandered around the show, enjoyed playing the Codenames Critical Role RPG reskin, had a good chat and a few drinks.

I had a list of games to look for and possibly buy, but soon went off-piste and bought some Sci-Fi RPG game aids. I also bought a few games for mates who were not there, so I hope they will be pleasantly surprised.

Selected swag pile pictured. Queue for the Saashi and Saashi stall also pictured - I didn't go to the convention to stand in a queue, I might play Railway Porters some other time. The chicken p**p game amused my family, but we have enough of the real thing.

If you managed to get there, I hope that you enjoyed it and found some nice games to play. Please feel free to reply with thoughts and swag selections.

Cheers, John E

Pray for the dearly departed Sister Beth, cut down in her prime while fighting against Hastur and a staircase full of cultists.

Another pleasant evening at the Board Silly Games Club playing Cthulhu: Beth May Die. Sorry, Beth definitely died, the game is Cthulhu: Death May Die.

We won at the price of two deceased adventurers - Morgan the Indiana Jones clone also bit the bullet - before the mad monk Rasputin pulled out a gr***de and cleared the room.

We go again next Thursday. Feel free to come along and join us for games and occasional sanity loss.

We've heard your requests, so we're happy to say we'll be launching family friendly d&d at Tabletop Nuneaton!

Open to parents and kids between 9 and 16, these adventures should be the perfect gateway into the World's Greatest Roleplaying Game.

No experience is necessary, we have a collection of experienced Dungeon Masters who are eager to pass their love of the game to a new generation!

Spaces are limited, so avoid disappointment by booking early with a DM to us!

Due to the event being open to the public, parents or guardians over 18 are required to attend alongside their children. They aren't expected to play (but are welcome to), but for safeguarding purposes, do need to be present at all times.

Entry to Tabletop Nuneaton - Jan 2026 is £5 per adult, £1 for under 18s.

Any kids playing the in game will also receive their own set of polyhedral dice to use and take home with them!

[UPDATE - 10/01/26]
We're filling up very fast, so there are only LIMITED (max 5) spaces remaining!
