Millennium Way - A beautiful 100 mile walk in the heart of England.

It has been a great week for Region 21.

Saturday and Sunday saw Vale of Evesham Round Table and along with a couple of Evesham 41 Club members we welcomed Tours 295 Table Ronde Francaise for the first twinning visit for some 6 years including a tour of Cotswold pubs, brewery and distillery. After a riverboat trip along the Avon and a roast dinner we got them safely back to the airport (via a compulsory pub stop) roll on October for the return visit with the promise of meeting up with some old friends from Tours 41Club.

Wednesday was Hereford 41 Club's AGM where the Club voted to not disaffiliate and agreed to participate in the 'cluster groups' project.

Thursday evening was the rescheduled Severnvale Dinner, where a packed room enjoyed continued friendship ate some delicious food and the guest speaker Stuart Turner regaled us with tales of his long and illustrious carrier in Motorsport.

Thursday also gave to opportunity to catch up again with Area 23 chairman Will and secretary James. Will handed over the new club paperwork for a brand new 41Club. James is going to take over as Table Regional Rep so I'll be working with him to improve our recruitment from retiring Tablers.

I am trying to meet as many clubs an 41 Club members as I can so if you have an event or meeting coming up please let me know and I'll make every effort to attend.

Finally I am working with my daughter (graphic design student) to create a region 21 newsletter /magazine for one of her degree projects if you have something that we could incorporate into it I'd love to hear from you.

Tuesday 23rd January and we had some 65 members and guests of 41 Clubs across region 21 visited Bloodhound SSC, the supersonic 1000mph car being designed and built in Avonmouth. A really good evening enjoyed by all. Many thanks to John Simmonds of Keynsham 41 Club for organising such a great event and best wishes to him as he was ill and couldn't make the visit himself.
Good news for those who missed this fantastic event we will be revisiting Bloodhound SSC on 13th March - details and booking forms will be available 1st February. Warning we "sold out" our original allocation of 50 places in 4 days and they let us stretch the limit to 65 but no guarantee of any more than 50 places so please get your bookings in as soon as you get the paperwork.
Yours in Continued Friendship
