Taken to it like ducks to water!

Some snapshots from this past weekend at the much-loved Race the Sun series with Action Medical Research. At this stage of the challenge, participants had already completed their bike phase and were giving their legs a rest as they paddled their way around Coniston Water.

Towards the end of last week we had the brilliant students from the Stephen P***e Foundation with us and what a pleasure it was! Our leaders were full of praise for every team and their efforts.

Every individual showed enthusiasm and commitment. They listened in to learn the nutrition needed for expedition, practice navigation skills and absorb the knowledge and advice to benefit their qualification.

"Exercise is the most transformative thing that you can do for your brain today"

We see the positive impact of exercise on our events and expeditions all the time, but this video is a great insight into the longer term effects.

The heatwave last week feels a bit of distant memory but this DofE team definitely earnt their tub of ice cream after a fantastic expedition effort.

Our Managing Director Ben was summoned by sheep whilst overseeing a DoE expedition in the Peak District. A lamb was stuck in an overturned tree trunk but with some wrangling and assistance, Ben helped it to escape! 🐑

Managing DofE and rescuing lamb? That's what we call multitasking! Baa-rilliant!
