What a fantastic weekend! World Gin Day went with a blast and a fizz! Huge thanks to Maria from Gloriette for coming and showcasing her award winning Artisan Gins. Maria will be back with us on 18th July when we welcome Richard Bertinet for his cookery demo day.

In celebration of all things Gin! The idea is simple: get people together all around the world and raise a glass to the brilliant spirit that is GIN. 

Maria from Gloriette Artisan Gin in Corfe Castle, is coming with her range of gins, including the new collaboration with Richard Bertinet. Maria will be at the Scott Arms from Midday on Saturday 13 June handing out gin tasters and discussing  ingredients, processes and mixers. There will also be special Gin Cocktails available on the day.

An exciting Date for Your Diary! On Saturday July 18th we welcome celebrity Chef Richard Bertinet! Richard Bertinet is a renowned Breton-born baker and teacher based in Bath, Somerset. Widely celebrated as a master artisan baker and ‘real bread’ campaigner. Best known for his pioneering ‘Slap and Fold’ Dough technique, his top rated cookery school and his best selling books.

Richard will be coming to the Scott Arms at 12 noon on Saturday 18 July and will be hosting a Cooking Demo outside at the Burger Shak, showing people how to work the dough and opening up the floor for any questions. There will also be a special Gin for you to try! Richard has been working closely with the expert distillers at Gloriette Artisan Gin in Dorset and together they have created something distinct and unique. Maria from Gloriette will also be present on the day, happy to answer your questions and of course offering tasters!
