The latest addition to the fleet. The Fred Wahl Marine 58, the actual boats are 58 x 28 feet multiple purpose vessels with a large carrying capacity. She is a big boat for her 23 inches of length. The first hull AK58-1 and wheelhouse is off to Kodiak Alaska.

I've built 200 hulls now, and this is a compilation of hulls and boats you guys have finished. Building hulls is my hobby, not so good at fitting and finishing them off. I love seeing what you do with hulls, and it would be fantastic, if you want to, to send a photo of your finish or half finished to see what you've done. Please enjoy the collection.

I've built this wheelhouse for my new Devotion hull, all is going well, when it didn't quite look right when I marked out the windows. Yep the messering tape hadn't been working properly, it's an inch (25mm) too narrow for the beam. Ach I'll just finish it and add it to the collection. 🙄 😊

The latest addition to the fleet. This the first pull from my new mould, the Devotion LK a wooden hulled vessel was built by Macduff Shipyards as the Endeavour for the Lovie family. The hull is in 1/30 scale and is length 30.5 inches by 9 inches in the beam (775mm x 230mm).

Something different for you. A Fred Wahl Marine 58 footer. This versatile 58 foot boat carries a beam of 28 feet. They have a high carrying capacity, making the boat a versatile work horse being able to be used for several different methods of fishing. The boats are popular on the west coast of the USA, fishing from Oregon, Washington and Alaska. The model hull in 1/30 scale coming in at 23 inches. The basic plug completed I've returned to work, but hope to start work on it on my return in mid January.
