Green Lane in between Hanwell, Little Bourton, Cropredy & all the other surrounding villages

Good Morning,

I would like to start by saying a big thank you to all of the comments of positivity about the green lane, closing the road at the top of the village, the Southam road way. They may not live in the village, but they are more than likely to be customers of your only village pub.

Regarding the speed limit, I am totally 100% committed to the 20mph limit, which is most people's concern from all your comments.

Secondly, how many horses come through the village? One, and that’s Sally's, which is a well-behaved horse and used to traffic. Dog walkers, yes, some of them stop off at the pub for a drink, cyclists, not too many, and normal walkers, few and far between. I disagree with the comment of it becoming a one-way road, as the road itself is big enough to fit two vehicles. Both ends of the village, the only pinch point is in the village itself. We need the council to look into putting chevrons into the village to reduce speed, which is the most of all your concerns, to slow people down.

50% of my customers at the Moon & Sixpence use the Southam Road entrance from the surrounding villages and from the crematorium, etc, without this road, the pub would not be viable and would close. This would have an impact on all the house prices in our lovely little village. You are very lucky to have a village pub as good as the Moon & Sixpence.

I thought it was the council's/councillors' campaign to keep all rural pubs open, not closing them down.

When this happens, I hope all of you voice your concerns to the right authorities that make the decisions.

Anyway, that’s my rant for the day!
