Baby Lucas was born 4 weeks ago and I can’t believe how quickly it’s gone.

I’ve been off social media so apologies if you’ve messaged me and I’ve not replied.

I am back taking tour bookings, tastings, brand partnerships and commissions. I will be fuelled by coffee, wine and an overwhelming love for my family of four - so that should be fun! 😜

My throwback to 2016 post to close off January 2026! (Better late than never!)

It wasn’t without hardship both personally and globally (thanks Brexit) but it was the course correction that I needed. So thank you 🙏

It was the year I dove into the wine trade, leaving behind my PR days.

It kicked off with drinking wine on the slopes for some R&R, morphed into testing venues for wine tastings, testing Bruno Paillard with McDonald’s (after an event I ordganised at Kensington Palace!), jetting to Ibiza with Ciroc Vodka, and finally my parents’ big move to France - the thing that changed EVERYTHING.

I moved careers, met my husband and fell in love with the corner of the planet I would eventually call home. 🍷 ♥️ 🇫🇷

One Minute Wine School is back for 2026 and to kick things off I’m going to cover the most popular red grape on the planet - Cabernet Sauvignon! 🍇
🇫🇷 Originally from western France it’s heartland it still arguably Bordeaux where is makes some of the most famous wines in the world.
🗺️ That being said, it’s grown absolutely everywhere! And famously in Napa Valley of California making equally expensive wines.
⬆️ ☕️ It has naturally high tannins (drying sensation in the mouth like black tea)
⬆️ 💦 High acidity (mouthwatering sensation)
⬆️ 🏋️ Full body (mouth filling)
⬆️ 🍸 And high(ish) alcohols.

Flavourwise, expect lots of blue and black fruits (think berries).
And as it’s often oaked or long-aged it can have great complexity of other flavours like wood, smoke and more! 🪵 💨 🥩

Public service announcement! 📣
Did you know that those corkscrews with arms are more likely to break your corks?! In fact… They’re not very good for opening wine and that’s why you don’t see them in fancy restaurants. 😱
Don’t be scared of waiter’s friend corkscrews. They are much better at opening bottles and once you’ve cracked using one they’re far less likely to break a cork than one with arms ⭐
So get yourself a bottle and a corkscrew and start practicing!
