U7s Cup week 2

Spr u7s vs Sprotbrough & Cusworth Reds-cup game.

Due to Sprotbroughs pitch being unplayable, the home team ended up being the away team with the game being played at VPG.

This team faced our other u7s side not long back and what a cracking game that was, we were hoping today's cup game was going to be just as good.

The young Rangers took a 2-1 lead in the first quarter but Sprotbrough kept battling.

The second quarter finishing 2-1 to the rangers again, making it 4-2 at half time going into the 3rd quarter.

The boys stepped it up a gear and showed some fantastic football, with lots of passing and moving and creating a few opportunities which the young Rangers took, quarter 3 finishing 3-0.

The last quarter, the boys leading 7-2 and seemed to think the job was done, but Sprotbrough kept battling right till the very end and with quarter 4 finishing 1-1 making the final score 8-3 to the young Rangers.

Well done boys! Goals scored by Malkie, Eban, Raine & Albie.

A big thank you to The Nags Shed for sponsoring the match ball for this cup game it's very much appreciated by everyone at the U7s.

On to the league fixtures next week away against Moorthorpe & South Elmsall Reds kick off TBC.
