The Globe Inn is set in the northern Derbyshire town of Glossop, on the edge of the Peak District and 30minutes East of Manchester city center. he absolute best that high quality folk music has to offer, as well as blues, jazz & roots music. Our stage has been graced with the presence of a varied array of musicians, often seen at National and international festivals. Recent acts include Merry Hell, Harp & A Monkey, Dave Swarbrick, Lucy Ward, O'Hooley Tidow, Hannah James & Sam Sweeney, The Young uns, 4Square, Andy Irvine, & Celtarabia to name but a few. Have a look at our Gallery. The Globe is a truly unique music venue and hosts not only live music but live comedy, traditional music sessions every Monday and open mic nights as well. It has a relaxed, welcoming & intimate atmosphere, with a capacity of just 85 audience members. Our live music gigs are organised by fiddle-player Jamie Knowles of Glossop Violins Concerts.
