After a lot of thought, we’ve made the difficult decision to permanently close Two River Taps.
This isn’t a post we ever wanted to write, but unfortunately the venue just didn’t quite cut the mustard financially. Expanding as quickly as we did brought challenges that, in hindsight, were bigger than we could sustainably carry.
That said, we don’t see this as a failure. Creating a new space, building a company, and trying to bring something different to a community is an incredibly exciting thing to do — and we’re proud that we gave it a go. Of course, there are areas where we could have done things better, much better even, but that’s life and that’s business. We try, we learn, and we go again.
Most importantly, this decision is absolutely not a reflection on the people who supported us. The locals, regulars, customers and friends we’ve met through Two River have been incredible from day one. We’ve loved every conversation across the bar, every laugh, every event, and every bit of support you gave us. For that, we’re genuinely grateful.
The good news is that both The Beer Hall and Lune Brew Co Brewery are continuing to trade as normal, and we’re fully focused on pushing those forward bigger and better than ever.
We also want to reassure anybody with upcoming bookings at the Village Hall — especially weddings and private events — that these will still go ahead and will now be managed through The Beer Hall team, so there’s absolutely no need to worry. We’ll be in touch with anyone affected directly.
To everyone who walked through the doors of Two River Taps: thank you. We’re proud of what we created there, even if it’s come to an end sooner than we hoped.
Much love,
The Lune Brew Co Team 🍻
