This beautiful collage has been created for the Crysse Morrison Prize for Poetry event being held on Monday 10th July in the Merlin Theatre as part of Frome Festival. It's going to be a fabulous evening with stand-up poet/comedian Elvis McGonagall and prize winning poet, Rosie Jackson. There are also guest performances from Liv Torc, Gordon Graft and Jo Butts. When I moved to Frome I missed 'up close and personal theatre' so I asked the then landlord of The Lamb Inn in Frome if he would put on some pub theatre, he said 'you do it and I'll put it on'. So I set up a company called Nevertheless Productions and my first co-producer decided on a different path even though we had advertised in the then 2011 Frome Festival brochure. I approached Crysse Morrison and asked her to become my co-producer and she said 'it would be my privilege'. And the rest, as they say, is history. Crysse left us today, dancing her way to a bigger party. Goodbye to my beautiful friend. I will miss you forever...

A huge thank you to everyone who came along to see our site-specific piece of theatre as part of the Celebrated Women of Frome exhibition in Frome Festival 2022. Thank you to David Lassman for giving us the opportunity and to Frome Museum for their tireless hospitality (especially Brian). We loved bringing the exhibition to life and co-producing with Debdo Adventures and especially Debbie Clayton. And a big fat thank you goes out to our troupe of fabulous actors, Wendy Dopheide, Becki Bradley, Sarah Clayton and June Bianchi. Finally, below is some lovely audience feedback...

Obviously, people may think I am biased, as I am the curator of the exhibition which inspired THE AUDITIONS, but I truly believe that the actors (as well as the writing) did each of the represented Celebrated Women proud in the performance that I watched this afternoon. It was in turn entertaining, funny and at certain points, even poignant.

What an ingenious idea - and such entertaining performances - many congratulations to all.

Today is the last day to catch these two going head to head on Britain's Got Talent 2022. It's Christina Rossetti and Emma Sheppard discussing pancake poems!
