Dorset Nomads MCC

Dorset Nomads MCC Founded over 50 years ago we are a local motorcycle club for those who just want to ride. Message us to check venue! Rallies began again in 2024.

We meet at the Bluebird Social club or the Holme Bush Inn, Corfe Mullen on Tuesday evenings, visitors welcome. Dorset Nomads MCC was founded in May 1974 when the Dorset branch of the Norton Owners Club disbanded. First meeting place was The Rossmore pub, Parkstone. The club's first President was Frederick Uden and his son, Robert, was secretary. Dorset Nomads MCC was formed by bikers who just want

ed to ride, party and have fun. For about twenty years the club held their annual rally 'The Oasis' at various sites in Dorset. It is a condition of the club that all full members hold a motorcycle license and ride regularly when they can. We currently meet Tuedsday evening at the The Bluebird Social Club, Longham. 7.30 onwards. Club Officials are:

Chairman - Nick Crutcher
Vice-Chairman - Pete White
Treasurer - Paul Bishop
Secretary - Sarah Hobbs

Dorset Nomads MCC "Summer" picnic! It did not rain :-)

There was food, cake, freshly made tea, and much laughter.

Some of the Dorset Nomads MCC rode with the Rolling Thunder at Weymouth today in support of Veterans.

Congratulations to associate member Fiona (herself a veteran) for giving a stirring speech.

As well as completing the Salisbury DGR yesterday member helped to organise and attended a run to Lepe to celebrate the life of Colin "Sparks" Young.

A short service of thanks giving and celebration of his life followed. A truly fitting tribute.

A selection from the day.

Thanks to all involved in both events.

Well done Dorset Nomads MCCTop team on the leader board at the DGR. Thanks for all the support from our sponsors.

It is with sadness that we announce the death of former member Thomas Jeanes.

A legend of a man, fascinated by all things mechanical.
This picture shows him at the 'tiller' of his 1903 Northern as our chairman coaxes it into life. He drove this in the London to Brighton run several times.
He will be greatly missed.
