Attached are some photos taken when superb trumpeter Paul Higgs was our guest and he put together an excellent tribute to Louis Armstrong and Ella Fitzgerald. There was an outstanding performance by the Quartet comprising Bill Yeomans, Hilary Cameron, Roger Curphey and John Jarvis. The evening included several fantastic piano/vocals by Hilary of a selection of Ella’s songs and ended with a memorable piano/vocal/scat climax from Hilary. Thanks to all for a brilliant evening.

These photos were taken last Thursday, 5th May. Everyone was on top form. Fresh from leading the Ronnie Scott Big Band at the Cheltenham Jazz festival (for which he received a great review in the Daily Telegraph) multi-instrumentalist Pete Long was at Googlies giving a brilliant performance. The Quartet, comprising Bill Yeomans – saxes and flute, Hilary Cameron – piano & vocals, Wally Shaw - bass and John Jarvis - drums was superb. Thanks to all for another great evening at Googlies.

Here are some photos taken at Googlies last night Thursday, 28th April. This really was a fantastic evening with everyone on top form. Vocalist, Catherine Lima was our guest and her performance was absolutely brilliant. The Quartet, comprising Bill Yeomans – saxes & flute, Hilary Cameron - piano, Wally Shaw - bass and John Jarvis - drums was superb. The audience (a Full House) was terrific too giving all on stage a well-earned rousing reception at the end. Thanks to Catherine, Bill, Hilary, Wally and JJ for another truly memorable evening.
