Well folks… we’ve got some good news cookin’. šŸ¤ šŸ”„

First off, a big ol’ apology from all of us here at Black Oak BBQ. It’s been a bit of a ride, but sometimes the trail takes a few twists — and our hands were tied for a spell.

But… we got there in the end. The local council’s given us the green light, and we’re firing the pits back up!

We’re back open as normal from Friday 24/04/26. Same hours, same routine, same slow-smoked goodness.

Just a friendly reminder from the pit:
We cook to our smoker’s capacity — and when it’s gone, it’s gone. So come early, come hungry, and don’t miss out. šŸ–šŸ”„

We've been emailing/ calling Eastleigh Council non stop. Guess they don't work over the weekend just let another local business trying to thrive die I guess.
The weekends are the busiest times for any restaurant and our work is done but need their approval.

Hi All quick update. All the necessary work has been complete. We are just waiting on Eastleigh Council to give us the go ahead waiting for them to come and inspect with out their approval we can not open, and we don't know how long they will take.

As a proper petrol head, there was no way I was missing this one. We usually keep it to Sunday lunches… but this is no ordinary weekend.

For this special occasion, Black Oak BBQ will be firing up the pits this Saturday from 12pm till late.

So while y’all are out hunting eggs, soaking in the smell of fuel, and admiring those beautiful machines… when that hunger hits, you know where to find us.

Half term’s rolled into town, and we know keepin’ the little ones fed and happy ain’t always easy šŸ¤ šŸ”„

So here at Black Oak BBQ, we’ve cooked up somethin’ special… a brand new Kids Menu, packed with tasty options for every little cowboy and cowgirl. From smoky bites to crowd-pleasin’ classics, there’s somethin’ for even the pickiest ranch hand.

After a successful trial run with this beauty, we’ve officially added smoked turkey to the menu.

Low and slow, just the way it should be. This bird spends around 3.5 hours in the smoker at 120°C, coated in our house-made rub, and comes out right at 68°C internal to keep it tender, juicy, and packed with flavour.

Down in Texas they say patience makes the best barbecue — and we reckon they’re right.

You can now add smoked turkey to your trays and enjoy some of the best slow-smoked BBQ in the South.

Down here we smoke it low ā€˜n slow, Texas style — bark on the outside, juicy and tender on the inside. Around here, you’d be hard-pressed to find a brisket this good anywhere in Hampshire.
