It is the first Friday of the month and our monthly quiz night is back following a break in August for the tremendous Gala Quiz night which was the busiest ever.

Get your teams together for this month's quiz night Friday 4th September 8pm.

A different quiz master each month which is excellent as all the quizzes are very different.

This is always a brilliant night, lots of banter and laughter.

It is the 1st Friday of the month next week but we do not have our monthly quiz night, this is because it is the start of the village gala week which is always an excellent week.

The mega gala quiz night by Ann will be on Friday 7th August at 7pm in the marquee in the Holm Field.

We will be open next Sunday following the crowning of this years gala King Oscar and Queen Alice from 4pm.

We will also be open on Dunscore Gala day afternoon from 4-9pm, then you can go and dance the night away to the magnificent Memphis in the marquee at the gala field from 9pm.

Hope to see lots of you supporting the gala and our fabulous community run pub.

Yet another packed to capacity quiz night.

Another great night, the different quizmasters definitely is good with all the different themes and styles. Tonight was Eve as quizmaster and it again was a very different quiz but a fantastic one.

Once again a brilliant night in our community run pub. We really are lucky to have such a great wee pub.

Well done to Archie and Sarah's team this month's winners.

Next month we don't have a quiz in the Flying Pig but there is the fabulous gala quiz by Ann in the gala marquee on Friday 7th August.
