Monday reset… up in the gym just dedicating time to mobility and stretching to loosen out any aches are pains that the weekend training presented before getting back on the pitch tomorrow…
Banded rotations and reaches, banded hammy swings and holds
Banded quad stretch
Elevated pigeon, couch stretch, lower back and hammy reaches, weighted adductor stretch’s.
Finishing with 2 rounds of core work.

Exposing the body to high speed running today… training schedule for the club has changed which allows me to get this extra session added in on a Sunday with a full day recovery Monday before training Tuesday again.
25 minutes all in going through speed mechanics, resisted running, deceleration work, acceleration and finishing with 6 top end speed runs over 45 meters with 60 seconds recovery.
gps unit and vest is definitely a great buy.

Contrast training today… going from a heavy calf iso into explosive pogos. Speed session incoming tomorrow to ensure the muscles are being exposed to high speeds around 85-90% top end speeds.

Thursday evening upper body session
Banded complex I do for a warm up in the first 5 clips
Moving into some chest work with bench press resting bar on the chest with each rep
Superset
Db lateral raise
1 drop set to failure
Weighted pull up
Superset
DB shrugs
Tricep movements on cable machine
Biceps done with the Ez bar and db preacher curls

Recovering from osteitis pubis… one of the things I found during this recovery is the importance of keeping your hips and pelvis loose, tight lower back causing you to use muscles that shouldn’t be under as much pressure simply because your stiff and tight in around that pelvic area… keep hammering your mobility and strengthening the lower back to help keep things free flowing during running…

Off season running back up and going again 😅 speed work today in sh*tty conditions took my clothes off afterwards and they where drenched right through ☔️☔️
Session included some high speed running to what my body allows without any pain, it was a way I done preseason last year training and conditioning the body to withstand the demands of top end speed so I’ll use that method again this season as I was on the pitch more to play rather than on the sidelines 🏃🏼💨

Off season week 4, only we aren’t running we are in the gym doing off feet conditioning due to a strain in my lower core muscles… doesn’t mean I down the tools and wait for recovery to happen, can still do things to keep on top of my fitness.
Session was 8 rounds of 50 on 10 off on assault bike ( 10-12kcals) skierg (11-13kcals) concept bike (16-19kcals) 1 minute off post concept bike and repeat for 8 rounds it was tough for sure 🥵🥵
