Today is the day!

Cross venue event with The Draughtsman Alehouse to celebrate Oktoberfest 2026!

284 steps between the two sites. 31 lines of independent b**r! Plus local delacicies from The Topping Pie Company Ltd and Neils Cheese Board!

We’ve got seasonal specials pouring on cask and keg from: Sierra Nevada - Anspach & Hobday - Newbarns Brewery - Kirkstall Brewery - Thornbridge Brewery - Cloudwater Brew Co plus Oktoberfest bottles and cans from Ayinger, Augustiner and Sierra Nevada!

DONCASTER… WHAT A WEEK! 🤯

We’ve officially been open for a week and you've helped us bring The Railway Alehouse back to life. With 16 keg lines, 4 cask lines, a proper exquisite w**e list, some banging bourbons (and whiskies) and plenty more to discover, the feedback so far has been phenomenal!

What a phenomenal first 48 hours it has been! You could say it’s been…kinda chic 👀

We’ve seen this trend doing the rounds and, well… we couldn’t really resist!

Twenty independent b**rs. Thirty-four w**es. Sierra Nevada permanently pouring. Just 284 steps from The Draughtsman Alehouse. And best of all, a proper Doncaster pub brought back to life, where strangers are already becoming regulars 😍

🚂 Well… WHAT A WEEKEND 😍

For the first time, The Railway Alehouse was full of people and pints, and after months of planning, renovating and plenty of stressing, that felt pretty bloody special!

Across Saturday and Sunday we welcomed our first guests through the doors for two VIP soft launch nights and finally got to see The Railway doing what it was built to do, being a proper pub again 🍻

A huge thank you to everyone who joined us, raised a glass and gave us some brilliant feedback.

We’ve got a few final tweaks to make… but we’re very nearly ready for you Doncaster 👀🚂

🚂 PROGRESS UPDATE #004

Could this be the final one before we open? 👀

The dirty work is done. The final touches are going in. Deliveries are arriving, fridges are filling, shelves are being stocked and the glassware is getting its final polish (after our w**e sampling session…)🍺🍷

After weeks of scraping, swearing, sanding, sweating, painting, swearing, building and making one hell of a mess… The Railway Alehouse finally looks like an alehouse to be proud of!

There are still a few finishing touches to make, but we’re very nearly ready to welcome you through the doors.

And that means there’s only really one announcement left to make…

🚂 Ayup Doncaster!

After months of planning, we’re delighted to finally introduce The Railway Alehouse.

Coming to West Street in 2026, The Railway Alehouse will be a modern bar with a proper pub at its heart, taking inspiration from Doncaster’s rich railway heritage and the great British pub🍺

Like our sister site The Draughtsman Alehouse, expect proper cask ale, a cracking range of keg b**rs, bespoke w**es, quality spirits, events space, and a welcoming place to meet, relax and enjoy a tipple or two.

Over the coming weeks we’ll be sharing the journey as we bring the building back to life, from renovations and design ideas to b**r selections and opening plans.

We can’t wait to welcome you aboard 😁
