4 services this week-
Two graveside- the first where a lady was joining her husband-beautiful weather, and the second- in the absolute pouring Kentish rain for a gent who’d been an excellent motorbike and sidecar racer! Good umbrellas thankfully.

Then to the crematorium for a ‘Legend of Tower Hamlets,’ Dover’s very own, and lastly for another true Dovorian, who although was a home bird, had enjoyed a trip to China where she’d had to ‘climb’ each step of the Great Wall, given her height. Small in stature big in personality!

It was such a privilege to be asked to lead an ashes scattering ceremony today, 7th August… a date that held special meaning, as it was the birthday of the lady we were remembering, and also my own mum’s birthday. 🌻

A lovely celebration of life in a garden today, for a lady almost 100 years young…
She loved KFC, so the family were there for its opening at 10:30 this morning, to get enough to feed 50!
She would have been absolutely miffed to have missed it all, but she and her late husband are rejoined in a beautiful pot in the garden, so they are still part of all the family gatherings…🪴
