Now that Dot and Andy have left the building and moved to pastures new, we wish them all the best in their retirement.

At the Grant Arms Bar, we now get underway with a program of works to rejuvenate the property. This will be done in conjunction with The Grant Arms Hotel which will now run as a separate business to the Bar.

You will see some changes over the remainder of this year while refurbishment gets underway - but be assured we will try to make things as seamless as possible while works are ongoing. We will be doing work one area at a time so we can keep operational and avoid having to close while we refurbish.

The Grant Arms Bar has already begun the revamp with new snacks, pool table, juke box and a whole new drinks menu including almost sixty malt whiskies!

Over the coming weeks there may be some inconvenience as the entrance to the building is reconfigured to provide separate entrances to Hotel and Bar so please bear with us as tradesmen do their jobs. This will mean the two doors at the front of the Hotel will be operational for the first time in decades - one for Hotel access and one for Bar access.

In the Bar, the ladies toilets will be getting completely replaced. There are also improvements coming behind the bar so there may be times where things are a little different while we make the Bar better for you but the end product will be a top class venue for you all to enjoy. On top of this, there will be a program of redecorating and redesign which will take place area by area while the Bar remains open.
Just an update to keep you all in the loop while we make the Grant Arms Bar a place you can enjoy. 😊

As many of of you are aware Saturday 26th September was the last day for Andy and Dot at the Grant Arms Hotel.
We arranged a leaving party and they were overwhelmed by the amount of people that came along to wish them well on their retirement and for the gifts and vouchers they received
Andy and Dot have had the Grant for 18 years and they have enjoyed every second of it and the people they have met and friends they have gained
I have worked for Andy&Dot for 16 years and it’s never once felt like a job and I have been treated like a family member.
So they both want to again thank everyone for their support and custom over the years .

The Bar will reopen on Thursday 1st October 4pm as many of you will know I am taking over the bar side of things and the ground floor as my own business as The Grant Arms Bar and I hope to see you all over the next few weeks.
