From 12 - 3pm Next Saturday “Corscombe Fete On The Green” will have a new feel to it as we use the Green opposite the pub and the areas in and around to Fox Inn. A fun gentle afternoon in our pretty West Dorset Village.

We’re ncluding the Old Kitchen for delicious cakes, Jams and Chutneys, and a library of books to pick through.

The Skittle alley will host children’s activities including face painting and hook a duck - Win a Bear if you guess how many ballon’s are in Flossy the Morris - Simon Jones is keen to tell us how healthy our river is after the Wildlife trust did a survey - The Allotment area will host the plant stall and other stalls will be in the front car park - There will be a delicious BBQ and a good few stall holders too, It will be gentle, fun, deliberately small as we plant a few new acorns.

Parking is available in our top car park and, by kind permission, at Corscombe Court.

All proceeds from volunteered stalls will be shared between The Church and the Village hall.

We will deliberately leave you GASPING FOR A CUP OF TEA as, from 3pm, Norwood House is hosting Opens Gardens with Tea and Cake to raise funds for Halstock Church. THIS WILL BE BEAUTIFUL and a lovely round off to the afternoon.

I should be a day of pulling everyone together and supporting all that we have on our doorstep.

ALL DONATIONS FOR BOOKS, BRIC-A-BRAC ETC can be dropped at the pub during opening hours CAKES AND JAMS ETC ON THE DAY 🙏

THEN ON SUNDAY 14TH FROM 2PM, SHOW OFF YOUR CLASSIC CARS in the front car park, SAM BROWN’S FABULOUS UKELE CLUB WILL BE ON THE GREEN, more BBQ and get your buddies together for some Sunday Boules on our sunny terrace.

It’s Christmas Eve, the Crib Service will be later this afternoon in the Tithe Batn over the road and we’ll make sure there’s room at the Inn - Timed beautifully💫 we have 4 brand new barrels tapped and ready to go.
