One to make you giggle… Skittle season is underway and we had one small problem. No chalk 🫣

Pens? Plenty. Chalk? Not a stick! So, in possibly the most West Dorset solution to a problem ever, we popped over to The Chalk and Cheese Pub in Maiden Newton… for (literal) chalk 😂

Huge thanks to Gaz for coming to our rescue — lovely to meet a fellow local publican in the process, have a natter and partake in a little pub-to-pub camaraderie.

Chalk acquired. Skittles saved 🎳

ONE MORE WEEK UNDER THE TIPI! 🦊⛺️
We’re not quite ready to pack summer away yet…

⚓️ WEDNESDAY — SHANTIES & PASTIES
The Bridport Broadsides are back from 7.30pm for a proper old sing-song — with pasties, naturally.

🎶 FRIDAY — MUTTER SLATER & STEAK FRITES
The brilliant Mutter Slater Band return from 8pm, while we get the Steak Frites on.

🪕 SUNDAY — LUNCH & THE KEEPSAKES
The Keepsakes join us from 4pm. Book yourselves in for lunch first, settle in… then stay for the music.

Three excuses to keep the Tipi up for one last weekend before it goes away, ready to return at Christmas (yes, we mentioned Christmas!)

Makes going back to work, school and real life a little easier, doesn’t it? 😉

The Big Top Weekend, wrapped! 🎪

BIG thanks to ALL of the gorgeous Fox team members for pulling off a first-of-kind weekend event for us. It’s been a real ride! To the locals, you really showed up and rolled with it and because of that, we think this might just become ‘a thing’. Little shoutout to Team Murphy too, who took it in turns to do what only family members can with last minute ‘need hands’ moments!

All in a Sunday…
Roasts, puddings, tractors, pints, sunshine… isn’t life pretty good?! Next Sunday we’ll be doing all this… and some!

Make mine a Mary! 🍅 Other than using our favourite West Country Vodka from the folk Black Cow we have a few little extra twists to make ours scream Hail Mary. The favourite twist? A touch of Tequila (we like el Jimador Tequila reposado)… trust us on this one!

🎪 You can ask for one of our legendary Bloody Marys whenever you like in the pub but next weekend, as part of our ‘Big Top Bank Holiday,’ we’re doing a whole morning of ‘Motown & Marys’ on the Sunday. Tamla tunes, Bloody Marys, continental breakfast, newspapers to grab and read, all under the canvas of our t’rrific tipi. We’d love to share a Mary with you…
