How has it been a year already?

Happy Anniversary Soph and Tom!

It was a beautiful day, and so it seemed fitting that part way through the ceremony as a nod to Soph’s love of theatre, at the ring of a bell, usherettes came in with little tubs of ice cream for all the guests to enjoy during the ‘interval’ where Tom and Sophie signed their certificate.

It was a huge pleasure to tell their story, and to celebrate their love at the fabulous Bowers Mill. What a gorgeous couple! This is what they had to say about me:-

‘We just wanted to say a huge thank you for enabling us to have the most perfect wedding ceremony, beyond what we ever imagined! Our friends and family have raved about what a beautiful, fun and personal ceremony it was, and how brilliant you were - we completely agree! We’re still not out of the wedding bubble yet and just wish we could do it all over again! Thank you again so so much for creating such beautiful memories with us, we’ll be forever grateful!.’

BREAKING NEWS!

Oh my goodness! Which of these things surprises you the most?

I was getting my bag ready for last weekend's weddings and had a little chuckle to myself at all the little surprises we had in store for the guests at the 2 ceremonies I led.

The script, readings, vow books (complete with tissues) and certificate are all pretty much a given, with the addition of some paw safe ink for Sunday's doggy witness Mo!

I also took:
- Scissors and ribbon to attach the rings to a chair for a mystery ring bearer to find
- A top hat full of names to select witnesses from
- A bingo machine to select some guests for a little mid ceremony challenge - they'd all been given a raffle ticket on the way into the ceremony!
- A little tray and some napkins to put some end of ceremony shots on.

Both ceremonies were full of love and laughter, just as it should be, with a few surprises along the way.

When asked me to pen a Love Letter to Lancashire on behalf of I jumped at the chance to tell everyone why this county is so special (Pictured here with Feathers McGraw). Just this week I’ve been treated to sunsets on the coast, a breezy stroll along the prom past The Big One, a sneak peak at the rehearsals at Blackpool Tower Circus and a walk across the sprung dance floor of the Blackpool Tower Ball Room, admired the snow topped hills that surround my house, delivered a beautiful vow renewal ceremony yesterday and gave a speech to 480 people without tripping up the steps to the stage or spilling gravy on my outfit which is to be commended. I’m ready for a few days away this week 🥰

I’m absolutely thrilled (and so grateful) to be able to share the official pics of me receiving my Highly Commended in the National Wedding Industry Awards.

Thank you to everyone who voted for me, supports me, recommends me and cheers me on.

The biggest thank you goes to all my couples for trusting me with your love stories. It is a privilege to be able to tell every single one of them.

Wishing all my followers a joyful festive break!

If you find a ring under the Christmas tree, and you're in the bubble of newly engagedness (think I just invented that word), then CONGRATULATIONS!

I’m Vikki and I create joyful, unique, meaningful, inclusive, happy-tear-filled ceremonies that are brilliant not boring, and bursting at the seams with warmth, passion, personality and energy.

Have you even been at a wedding at Wellbeing Farm if you haven’t accosted a llama for a selfie? For the MacDonalds, a farm was the perfect setting to celebrate back in September. There were so many magical moments in this ceremony from the special message from their daughter before the wedding party entered, and barely a dry eye when they both made their vows to their kids, to closing the ceremony by making SMORES. What a beautiful celebration.
