For this weeks special, we've secured a case of St. Cosme Little James’ Basket Press Sauvignon x Viognier, an exceptional white wine from the renowned Château de Saint Cosme in France's Rhône Valley.

Blending the crisp freshness of Sauvignon Blanc with the aromatic elegance of Viognier, it offers vibrant notes of peach, citrus blossom, grapefruit and tropical fruit, finishing clean, bright and beautifully refreshing. £20 per bottle. Available by the glass, by the bottle to enjoy at Candlemaker, or to take away.

When we were choosing who would supply our coffee at Candlemaker, supporting local businesses was incredibly important to us.

That’s why we partnered with 47 degrees coffee, an independent coffee roaster based just down the road in Langley Mill.

What started as a passion for great coffee has grown into an award-winning business, with an incredible 29 Great Taste Awards from the Guild of Fine Food. Their coffees have even been featured in The Times, earning recognition as some of the finest coffee being produced in the country.

We're proud to serve their coffee every day at Candlemaker, whether it's your morning flat white, an afternoon Americano, or an iced latte in the sunshine.

This weekend we hosted our very first private event at Candlemaker - a beautiful baby shower.

It was a really exciting milestone for us, not only because it was our first private hire, but because it gave us the opportunity to showcase what we can offer for special occasions. From fabulous grazing boards and sweet treats to a relaxed and intimate setting, it was wonderful to see the space being enjoyed in a completely different way.

A huge thank you to everyone involved for choosing Candlemaker to celebrate such a special occasion.

It’s National Beer Garden Day, and thankfully the sun has understood the assignment. If you’re looking for somewhere to enjoy a drink this afternoon, our courtyard garden is waiting for you - tucked away off Church Street. With the torrential rain, we’ve had plenty of soggy pups wandering into Candlemaker to dry off by the radiators and enjoy a well-earned treat while their owners warm up with a coffee. The good news is there’s a heatwave on the way this weekend, which means it might finally be time to swap the flat whites for iced lattes and get back out into the garden.

Whatever the weather, we’ll have the coffee ready.
