The Potters Bar Christmas Tree is up! Decorated with decorations from local school children and Our Beavers!! Can you spot yours? It all starts at 4pm on Sunday with the lights switch on and then the tree switch on is 5pm. Hope to see you all there!

You know you're a Beaver Scout Leader when you spend a sunny Sunday morning painting PVA glue onto the Christmas decorations that the Beavers made to go on the Potters Bar tree (2 hours before handing them over to Chris Myers 🤦‍♂️) 💕⚜️💕

Last night our Beavers did a series of Challenges in aid of Children in Need, ending with a 5 minute silence* and raised £40. Well done Beavers! 💕⚜️💕

We are rubbish at all standing together and looking at the camera but the Beavers, Cubs and Scouts who attended the Rememberance service & parade in Potters Bar this morning were all absolutely fabulous at marching to the war memorial and then standing still once there 💕⚜️💕

Sparklers with our Beaver Scouts last night after a few 'experiments' - you know the ones with baking soda & vinegar. Some of them wanted to take those home - parents will be pleased to know I said no! 💕⚜️💕

We learnt all about Diwali from one of our Beaver Scouts last night. Then made rangoli patterns and tea light holders. Great focus on what we were doing. Happy Diwali to all - and have a great half term. 💕⚜️💕

Happy World Scout Scarf Day 💕⚜️💕

On August 1st, 2025, Scouting will be 118 years old. This is because the first experimental Scout camp was held in August 1907. World Scout Scarf Day, which is celebrated annually on August 1st, commemorates this event.

What began over a century ago in the UK has grown into a global movement of more than 57 million Scouts across almost every country in the world. Scouting may have its roots in Britain, but it belongs to the world.

🌎Today, it’s shaped by the cultures, communities, and young people who live it every day – from Nairobi to Tokyo, Prague to São Paulo.
