Around 13 years ago, the Bay Horse, Moulsham Street, Chelmsford set up a yearly festival of ale, friends that rarely got together and local music. Nine years ago (or so) the pub closed and after a slight slump one year, we took over this awesome annual event and brought it kicking and screaming up to date at the Golden Fleece. It is about a group of friends, acquaintances and randoms getting toget
her in a pub to listen to great bands, drink strange, custom brews, and sing and dance into the wee hours. It is about forgetting rivalries, enemies, genres and fashion. Its just about having a laugh, in the Summer, with music too loud, queues for the toilets, beer in plastic cups and then waking up and doing it all again the next day. In a pub.......
The list of acts we have had is incredible, from INME, FEI COMODO, FOREVER NEVER, SISTERS OF MERSEA, NEW TOWN KINGS, CREME DE CHEVRE, VILLAINS, THE YOUNGER, HOUNDS, FEARLESS VAMPIRE KILLERS....plus all the other great and diverse musicians. In the last 5 years we have covered death metal to Irish folk, unashamedly. Bay Days loves music, and intends to carry on loving music until the sun sets on it....and we will know when that is. All we ask is you support us. In 5 years we have raised approaching £7500 for charities, whilst still bringing you the best local talent we can. Help us by sharing this and make it happen again next year! We only do this for you....oh yeh, and because we absolutely love giving Chelmsford the best Summer party ever! Our events are such an experience so awesome that they go up to eleven, we do our best to find time during the year to host the occasional night under the ReBay name.
