The apples matter. When you pick them matters. How you press them matters. Time matters.

And after doing this for a while, you realise there’s always something else to learn.

That’s probably what keeps us interested.
Well, that and getting to drink the end result.
Every bottle we make starts here, with good fruit and determination to do it properly.

We make quite a lot of cider here at Hitchcox and we need an excuse to drink some of it.

So, on 19 September, we’re throwing our Apples & Embers Shindig here at Hitchcox.

There’ll be three brilliant bands playing live, proper food, fires going as the sun disappears and, naturally, plenty of cider.

Other drinks will also be available. We are not monsters.

It all kicks off at 6pm and carries on until midnight, and tickets are only £10.

Come and help us celebrate the harvest.

At Hitchcox, we've always believed good things are worth doing properly.

We press our own apples.

We make our own cider.

And now our burgers are made using beef from Orchard Farm.

It's one more way we're keeping things close to home and making the most of what grows around us.

We think you can taste the difference.

We think food tastes even better when you know its story.

That's why we've started using beef from Orchard Farm for our burgers here at Hitchcox.

No long journeys. No wondering where it's been.

Just carefully reared local beef, prepared for our kitchen and served a few hundred yards from where it was raised.

We make quite a lot of cider here at Hitchcox, so naturally, when we decided to throw a shindig to celebrate the harvest, it seemed only right to open the bar.

The Apple & Embers Shindig is happening on 19 September, from 6pm until midnight, with three brilliant bands playing live, proper food, fires glowing as the evening draws in and plenty of Hitchcox cider to keep everyone suitably refreshed.

Other drinks will also be available. We are not monsters.

It is, if nothing else, a very thorough celebration of apples.

Tickets are just £10. Come and raise a glass to the harvest with us.

We want to be your place to gather, celebrate and make memories.

We recently hosted a summer event in the orchard, and we think the feedback speaks for itself...

"We had our work summer Party at Hitchcox Cider Farm last week and it was amazing! Ludivine, Toby and the rest of their team went above and beyond to create the most beautiful, family-friendly event, with every single detail thoughtfully planned.

The food was absolutely incredible. We were treated to delicious summer salmon, Spanish chicken, and an endless selection of fresh salads and tasty sides. Everything was cooked to perfection, and dietary requirements were catered for effortlessly. We also had a chilli for later in the evening that we didn't get around to eating so Ludivine very kindly brought it to our office up the road on the Monday morning!

The children were entertained from start to finish thanks to a fantastic range of activities run by enthusiastic young volunteers. Face painting, plant potting, lassoing the bull, croquet... there was never a dull moment!

Another wicked thing about this venue is that it has a fantastic built-in stage complete with electricity, making it incredibly easy for our DJ and band to set everything up. And of course, we can't forget the cider – delish!

Overall, it was a 10/10 experience, and we can't wait to return for more events in the future. If you're thinking about hosting a party or celebration at Hitchcox Cider Farm, don't hesitate, you'll be in the best possible hands with this fab team!"
