So many of you came in yesterday to escape the heat and enjoy an iced drink inside the cool space of The Talbot 😎 the benefits of an old building during a heatwave!

The iced teas and refreshers have been particularly popular and we also have iced lattes and frappes with caramel and vanilla which have been going down a treat too.

Come and try some authentic Jamaican flavours including Jerk Chicken with rice and peas, Chickpeas cooked down with Peppers, Thyme, Garlic, Ginger and some spices in Coconut Milk, Jamaican Patties, chicken strips, Vegan Chickpea and Plaintain Curry and more….

Next Sunday we will be holding a Celebration of the life of renowned artist Susan Shaw, who created many watercolour paintings of Chaddesley Corbett during her lifetime.

Susan’s son William would like to invite members of the local community to The Talbot next Sunday 31st May at 4.30pm to share stories and memories of Susan.

We’re hosting a special event on Saturday 30th May at 2pm with historian Doug Smith MBE who will giving a talk on Worcestershire sportsmen who lost their lives in the First World War.

The talk is based on Doug’s book, Who’s for the game and features many well known sports grounds, famous names including Harold Bache and of course, the sports we all know and love including football, cricket, rugby and golf.

It will include men from Moseley Rugby Club, Worcestershire Cricket Club, Moseley Golf Club, West Bromwich Albion Football Club, Ashfield Cricket Club, Moor Green Football Club, Chaddesley Corbett, Bromsgrove School, Royal Gammer School Worcester, Kings School Worcester and King Edward’s Stourbridge.

If you’re interested in sport and history we’d love to welcome you next Saturday.
