Caythorpe Brewery Ltd Caythorpe Brewery Caythorpe Brewery was set up using a 2.5 barrel brewery in a building at the rear of the Black Horse pub in 1996.

Ownership changed hands in 2005 and the capacity of the brewery was increased to a 6 barrel plant in 2010.

General information

John Stachura (Head Brewer) and Chris Lambert brew five handcrafted quality beers as follows: Dark Gem - ABV 3.5% A subtly hopped dark mild with a hint of chocolate. One Swallow ABV 3.6% A golden bitter, crisp and well-hopped. A very good session beer. Caythorpe Bitter ABV 3.7% A copper coloured light flavoured bitter, another excellent session beeer. Doverbeck Bitter ABV - 4% Caythorpe's best bitter. A deep golden well-rounded smooth tasting bitter. Classic - ABV 4.6% A tradional copper premium bitter, malty and well hopped.
