𝗜𝗧'𝗦 𝗚𝗢𝗢𝗗 𝗙𝗥𝗜𝗗𝗔𝗬... 𝗧𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗺𝗲𝗮𝗻𝘀 𝗞𝗧𝗖 𝗶𝘀 𝗽𝗼𝗽𝗽𝗶𝗻' 𝘂𝗽 𝗶𝗻 𝗖𝗮𝗿𝗱𝗶𝗳𝗳! 🎉

We're super excited to bring our food, fun and commitment to making a difference in the world to all our lovely Cardiff people!

We love doing these pop-up restaurants and DEFINITELY wanna get ourselves around a lot more of the places that we love in Wales. ❤️

That being said, we are working towards getting our very own beautiful space, where we can really get to work on fulfilling our mission as a CIC and training people furthest from the labour market in meaningful and fulfilling jobs.

Everything that we make from this event will go towards that cause! So thank you to all who have booked!

Life after prison can be very tough for a multitude of reasons, one of the biggest being the lack of protection for those leaving prison when it comes to discrimination from potential employers and workplaces.

Many people find it extremely difficult to find meaningful work post- release, which can often lead to them either coming close to or actually experiencing homelessness.

Seeing no way out of this can often lead people back into crime...

𝗚𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝘀𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗰𝘀 𝘀𝗵𝗼𝘄 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝘃𝗶𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗲𝗺𝗽𝗹𝗼𝘆𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗰𝗮𝗻 𝗿𝗲𝗱𝘂𝗰𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝗿𝗲𝗼𝗳𝗳𝗲𝗻𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴.

At Keep The Change we don’t just want to set up a business, we want to improve the economy in the local area, give people a chance to break the cycle, come out of the welfare system and back into being tax paying members of society.

We also want to enrich our local community by giving families the opportunity to shop locally, make a difference and support each other.

We care about our community. We care about the planet. We care about people.

Not only does our plan to provide work for prison leavers tackle the problem of skill shortages in the hospitality industry, but it also reduces the rate of reoffending and gives people a purpose with meaningful employment.

🎉 𝗢𝗨𝗥 𝗡𝗘𝗫𝗧 𝗘𝗩𝗘𝗡𝗧 𝗜𝗦 𝗟𝗘𝗦𝗦 𝗧𝗛𝗔𝗡 𝟮 𝗪𝗘𝗘𝗞𝗦 𝗔𝗪𝗔𝗬! 🎉

We're teaming up with Waterloo Tea on Witchurch Road in Cardiff to bring you our next pop-up dining event!

What better way to spend your Good Friday than eating good food for a good cause?! The Wonder Bar are concocting a cocktail to raise funds for Ukraine which we'll be serving on the night. All other proceeds will go towards Keep The Change and our mission to help members of our community who are in need of support in finding meaningful employment!

We're still keeping our eyes peeled for a permanent cafe/restaurant premises in the Caerphilly/Newport area with:

🌿 An industrial kitchen
🌿 An outdoor space
🌿 Room for around 40 people to eat & drink in
🌿 Space for us to provide workshops & learning opportunities
🌿 Not too far from public transport

Our community is vital in keeping the dream alive - so keep your eyes peeled and please reach out if you think you know of anything suitable!

We’re excited to announce, we’re officially registered as a CIC! It’s been a bit of a journey with a few unexpected hurdles to get there (big props to ours gals Emily & Beth T. for their continued patience getting it sorted), but we’ve done it! 💪

We are now in a position to start applying for the funding, training & special licences that we need! 🤩

We are absolutely buzzing to be bringing Keep the Change to Cardiff! 🤩

We are so grateful to our venues for allowing us to use their spaces to promote our mission!

For our first 2 events, we were offered Pentwynmawr Community Hall for free! As a start up CIC, this is invaluable for us and has really set the ball in motion 🙌

We cannot thank the committee, particularly Chairman Rhys, enough for the support - which included many phone calls, negotiating suppliers, opening up the venue at all hours of the day & generally being on hand for support - so thank you!! 🙏

This is a great little building in the heart of Pentwynmawr with a tidy kitchen, accessible entrance, toilets & parking. Visit their page to find out details about hiring the space!

We've been a bit quiet lately....

The world & our team has a lot going on at the moment, so we're taking time to find our feet & make sure that we can provide a stable base for our future. We want to make sure we help ourselves so that we're in the best position to help others. 🙏
