Breastmates Breastfeeding Support Breastmates are part of Breastfeeding Network Derbyshire. Our groups open to all parents, & are a space to meet others as well as help with feeding.

We offer support for mothers & parents who breastfeed, express & bottle feed, at groups and on messenger. If you're looking for support with feeding your baby or toddler, or are looking for a place to meet other local mothers and parents, you're welcome at our groups. We're all mother's who have been trained by the Breastfeeding Network to support those who breastfeed, to help with expressing breastmilk, finding a balance with combi-feeding, as well as supporting those bottle feeding with formula milk and / or expressed breastmilk. We have groups running in Matlock, Chinley, Buxton and Glossop. All our groups are free and welcome all parents and all babies. Mondays:
Matlock Baby Group at Church in the Peak, DE4 3EJ. Weekly group during term time, 11.30am to 1pm. We have a comfy room, we'll give you a hot drink and a biscuit whilst you chat with other mothers, or chat with one of us for support. There is a free car park, the building is fully accessible, and it's a short walk from Hall Leys Park and the bus routes. Chinley Independent Chapel
1st Monday of every month @ Carer, Baby and Toddler Group, 2-3pm
Our Chinley group runs within the baby & toddler group. Look out for us in our purple t-shirts. Thursdays:
Buxton: Fortnightly @ Fairfield Infant and Nursery School, 10am-11.30am

Fridays:
Glossop: Fortnightly @ Elim Church, 10:00-11:30am

This week, you can find our volunteers at two Breastmates groups:
Matlock baby group Church in the Peak 11.30am to 1pm with Samantha and Hannah
and
at Elim Church 10-11.30am.

Join us for a social visit, or come along with a question or for support with any aspect of feeding your baby, including on holiday!

This will be the last Matlock group until September but our Glossop and Buxton groups continue, along with many others across Derbyshire. Do check out where we are all running World Breastfeeding Week celebrations next week, 1-7 August across Derbyshire. https://linktr.ee/bfn_derbyshire

With the school summer holidays starting, some of our Derbyshire BfN groups will be taking a break over August; however many are still running. You can find out what is on where here: https://padlet.com/.../what-s-on-in-derbyshire-this-month...

We'd especially love you to join our Breastfeeding Network volunteers at any of our eight events running during World Breastfeeding Week (1st-7th August). You can find out more here: https://www.facebook.com/bfnderbyshire/events. This includes one in Buxton and at Bolsover Castle.

Matlock Monday Baby Group: our final session is next week on Monday 27th July, 11.30am to 1pm. Returning in September after that.
Chinley & Buxton: back in September.
Glossop will continue through the holidays (see calendar link above).

In addition to this, across Derbyshire a group will be running most days in July and August, and everyone is welcome at any of them, along with your children, partner or someone to support you.
