Rabbits no longer at the bush, but we’ll be at the vineyard a couple km from the pub. Come join us on the 2025 vintage kick off party, Easter Saturday 4-10pm. Free entry, no bookings. Yummy food, drinks and great live music at a very special venue. 🐇🍷✌️❤️

Parts of running a pub was great, other parts was….challenging. I mean, be happy, have fun, but try to sing in tune for f…sake! 🙄👍

Soo….we have come to the end of our pub journey and Rabbits at the bush have with that left The Bush-Shimpling for new adventures. We will focus on our vineyard as it is set to expand business and in line with this, do some supper clubs and limited events over the spring, summer and period leading up to Christmas.
We’re starting with an Easter Saturday celebration where we’ll be happy to welcome you over for some great food and fantastic live music among the vines and barrels. An evening to remember no doubt!

Fridays is our fish n chip day. All our fish comes fresh from boat to the pub on Friday and this Friday we’re adding with lots of yummy (and equally fresh!) seafood. Mersea oysters, diver scallops, squid (calamari in the making), langoustine, prawns, tuna steak (pictured!) etc. Eat in or take away, walk in or booking.
