🌊 TODAY WE LAUNCHED THE CULLEN SKINK ODYSSEY! 🐟🥣
What a day — and a very proud one for all of us at The Royal Oak, Cullen.
Today we welcomed guests from the press, social media, tourism and travel trade to officially launch The Cullen Skink Odyssey — our new immersive food experience celebrating the story, people and place behind Scotland’s most famous soup.
This has been a real labour of love.
For me, food has always been about place and provenance. From childhood memories of buying sardines straight from the boats in Spain, to visiting villages where sausages were made, to selling meat from my own farm shop back in 1995 — I’ve always been fascinated by the connection between food, people and where it comes from.
And that is exactly what the Cullen Skink Odyssey is about.

🥃 And the option to discover our local whisky story too
Most importantly, it celebrates Cullen — its fishing heritage, its food, its people and the landscape that makes this little corner of Scotland so special.
A huge thank you to everyone who helped bring this vision to life, to our fantastic local producers and contributors, and to everyone who joined us today to celebrate the launch.
Today was the beginning of an exciting new chapter for The Royal Oak and for sharing the story of Cullen with visitors from near and far.
