Time for the big thank you post! ❤️
Without any of you lot, Lamb simply wouldn’t exist today.
A mega thank you to this bunch of massive legends, and to ALL the acts who’ve been part of the Lamb journey across the past 10 years.
Thank you for putting your trust into our little project with grand ideas to embrace up and coming talent; to offer comics a platform and a welcoming space to perform their best possible show without having the drama of worrying about escalating (and hidden costs), having to find a venue that offers tech support, box office, front of house, all admin, marketing and staffing taken care of, and having the best chance possible to at least break-even (if not make a small profit).
Thank you to the venues Nowhere Man Craft Beer Brighton (RIP), and of course The Actors who let us takeover their spaces for a month and trusted us to fill the venue with a carefully curated programme, happy audiences, and (hopefully) professionalism.
Thanks of course to Brighton Fringe - especially Julian and Sarah - who helped so much in those first few months of Lamb’s creation and to those connected who have supported over the years with offering their time and skills to cover such tasks as flyering, FOH, recommending us to people, photography & film, and emotional support.. such as Peter Williams, Sian Hutchinson, Holly, Elsa, Kathy Caton, Melita, the parents, and countless more people to mention. You know who you are!
Thank you to the ‘L’ and the ‘B’ of ‘Lamb’ - Lulu Baker - I had an idea of producing a pop-up comedy venue and would never have made it a reality without countless hours of dedication, planning and hard work from this woman.
And finally, thanks so much to all of the audience members (especially those faces we see year after year) who put trust in our programme and have decided to spend money on a ticket for a performer or show they may not have heard of, but took a gamble (gambol) because it was a ‘Lamb’ event.
Lamb is in my heart, as are all of you, so here’s a toast to another 10 years of raising the “baa” for up and coming talent. 🥂
Amy Mac,
Team Lamb Comedy 🐑
