Closing out our Friday Pre-Party we are thrilled to announce Vancouver DJ and Producer . With performances at Bass Coast, Shambhala and Re-Union, they have shared lineups with renowned techno artists at clubs and warehouses from Vancouver to Toronto. AWood's sets range from left field house to driving techno, and they are bringing the heat to cap off a huge night of music in Whistler's Function Junction.

Behind AWood's distinct energy is a deep love for electronic music. They are inspired by all the moments they have shared on the dance floor throughout their life. In between releases and gigs, AWood remains committed to paying it forward via volunteer teaching their .yvr Learning Curve workshops.

What can we say, we have watched Shaasta grow up around the rave community of Whistler into a talented young artist supporting the scene through both his music and commitment to soundsystem culture.

Sponging influences from Whistler's international music culture, Shaasta has developed his craft as a DJ in ways that are beyond his years. Along with his brother Oscar, Shaasta has desgined and built, Lost Signal Soundsystem, a project to keep sound system culture alive on the West Coast. With upcoming festival performances as well as a string of show between Whistler and Vancouver, this next year is set to cement his place in the BC community as one of the best young selectas

Worlds collide as two local curators of underground music experiences come together.

CALAMITY, part of the Sea 2 Sound Crew, renowned for their artistic production and continual development of local bass djs, has played festival such as Wicked Woods and Bass Coast. His sound is born from vinyl release dubstep, garage and 140 which an ear for authentic sounds that span the UK, North America and across the Pacific.

Part of COLLECTIVE ILLUSIONS, EXIT is known for his genre bending, carefully curated sets that introduce and explore the future sounds of bass music. A local mainstay in the electronic scene, in the last year EXIT has supported Bakey, Bullet Tooth, and Hybrid Minds with stand out sets.

Polaris has been quietly developing her craft on the fringes of the underground scene in Whistler for sometime. Supported by a host of local djs, promoters and musicians because of her uncompromising sound and taste across many low end genres, she will be one to look out for in the coming years. One of the local bredda, CUZ has a deep selection that is not only dance floor driven but balances emotion and experimentation. Sets that leave you asking "what did I just witness? An experience of broken beats, sub frequency grooves, jungle tinged rollers and off-kilter garage. After his stand out set at Space Daze Festival last summer we are excited to have CUZ back for a rare performance.

Daega Sound is a Canadian electronic music and DJ duo formed by brothers Ben and Josh Searles.
