An absolute nightmare weather wise today for the Clatford Arms lads as we faced our friends Bulford WMC for the 3rd time this season. We got off to a slow start but found ourselves 1-0 up from our Left back Adam Bate who thundered his first ever goal for the team into the bottom left cornerfrom a clever assist by Danny Humphries . Bulford pressed us high up the pitch and quickly equalised through a fine finish. The lads struggled to find the rhythm in the first half with no less than 8 first team players absent, but we dug deep and kept going. Bulford got control of the midfield and we were sloppy and conceded two more to go in at half time 3-1 down.
A quick blast of the hairdryer treatment from the Gaffer saw the lads come out with a much better mentality in the season half with the lads going all out to attack and everyone working hard in defence. Fortune struck as Charles Ingrem hit a long one and it sailed over the keeper to make it 3-2. Bulford kept the pressure on but the conditions were terrible and there were tired legs all over the pitch. Felipe La Rocca stepped up to take a free kick which nobody dealt with and saw us equalise 3-3 with about 10 minutes left to play. We pressed hard to try and get the win but Bulford defended well and the game ended 3-3 and a fair result. We could have pinched it but it wasn't to be. Very wet, very muddy and very tired, both sets of players fought well and shared the points. Best wishes to our friends at Bulford for the rest of the season.
