Last chance to get your spot for our workshop!

In person workshop held in Durham with lunch included.

Tap into mine, Ruth Alexandra Watson and Sarah Jane Phelps brains and all the experience and knowledge we have from running our own businesses.

If you are struggling with any of these then our workshop is for you!

• You struggle to explain what you actually do in a simple way

• People seem interested in your business but don’t enquire or buy

• You feel like you’re posting online constantly but nothing is really landing

• Your offers feel a bit messy or unclear

• You’re trying to speak to everyone because you don’t want to leave anyone out

• You know your business is good, but people don’t fully “get it”

• You second guess what to post because you’re not fully clear on your audience

• You struggle to explain why someone should choose you

• Your business feels a bit all over the place

• You feel like you’re doing all the right things but not seeing the right results

A lot of the time, it’s not that your business is the problem. It’s the clarity around it.

If you’re nodding along to any of these, our Work & Wellbeing Day was created to help you get clearer on your offers, your audience and how you talk about your business in a way that actually connects with the right people

You’ve not outgrown your business. You’ve outgrown your branding.

A lot of business owners think they’ve lost confidence in their business, when really their branding just no longer reflects who they are now.

Your business has grown and changed, but your branding is still stuck in an older version of it.

Maybe you’ve changed direction, refined your services, or become clearer on the people you want to work with. But when your branding no longer matches that growth, everything can start to feel disconnected.

You might struggle to explain what you do, feel inconsistent online, or feel like your business just doesn’t look how you want it to anymore.

That’s usually the sign that it’s time for branding that actually fits the business you’ve built now.

A good place to start? Look at your branding and ask yourself honestly: does this still reflect my business today, or the version of it from a few years ago?

If the answer is no, that’s usually a sign that your branding needs to grow with your business too.

Rebrand Reveal for

I love when a client/friend comes back to me for another branding project. I absolutely love working with Sharlein because she gets involved in the process whilst also trusting me to make the right decisions for the business.

A little back story on TVT. Sharlein created Tees Valley Together during Covid as a way to support local families, and since then it has grown into a community hub supporting people across Hemlington & the wider Tees Valley.

Like so many businesses, TVT started with DIY branding. Something created quickly to get things up and running. But over time TVT grew and changed, and the branding no longer felt like it matched where the business was anymore.

This rebrand was about letting the branding catch up with where TVT is now and creating something that feels more welcoming, recognisable and connected to the community it supports.

Sharlein’s only requirement was keeping purple & pink as part of the branding because they had become such a recognisable and memorable part of TVT over the years.

I’d love to know what you think of the new look.

This is probably going to divide people, but honestly, businesses using AI to create graphics for their brand are starting to put me off and make me trust them a little bit less.

We’re in a trust recession right now. People are more sceptical than ever, especially online. They want to connect with businesses on a human level. They want to see the person behind the brand, feel personality and connect with something that feels real.

The whole point of branding is to help your business feel recognisable and attract the right people. But when businesses rely too heavily on AI graphics, I think they start to lose that personal feel and the things that actually make them memorable.

People don’t care if your branding is super polished all the time. I honestly think they’d rather it felt genuine and real.

I’d much rather see a simple graphic with personality than something overly polished that feels disconnected from the actual business behind it.

Would love to know other people’s thoughts on this.

Thought it was time for a little re introduction and to share the story behind the business

It started with me loving making things look good, then falling out of love with design at university, before eventually building a branding business that genuinely feels like me.

It’s definitely been a journey, but one I wouldn’t change for the world.

If you’re new here, I’d love to know how you found me.

People buy from people. They always have. And right now, having that community behind you, people you genuinely rate, can collaborate with, and confidently send clients to, feels more important than ever.

When someone asks for a recommendation and your name comes up, that’s not a coincidence. That’s what happens when you invest in the right relationships.

It doesn’t have to be a huge network. Just the right people.

Who in your corner of the internet do you love to recommend? Drop them in the comments.

What happened in April

April seemed to fly by, I think 2 weeks of school holidays helped that. Every holiday is a little reminder of one of the biggest reasons I run my business, the flexibility. I worked in the first week of the holidays around the boys but had a full week of to enjoy and spend time with them.

1. Had a visit to to see the cherry blossom 🌸
2. Loving my calendar so much detail in it for each month
3. When doggy blends into blanket.
4. Treated myself to a new pen from .co
5. Easter holiday visit to Berwick
6. I got a new printer to replace mine. Sticker orders are looking 👌🏼
7. Squeezed in a trip to too. Lucky to have this so close to home
8. Homemade Victoria sponge
9. Back to work with some fabulous brand snug discovery calls with new clients
10. Ending the month with a catch up with and my favourite hot chocolate.

I said at the start of the year I wanted to spend more time working on my business, not just in it, and this is a big part of that.

Behind the scenes, I’ve been quietly refining the documents that sit at the heart of my brand packages. Things like my questionnaire, brand strategy and visual direction, brand presentation and brand guidelines.

Nothing drastic. Just small, thoughtful tweaks.

Sometimes it’s just a clearer way of explaining something, a small layout tweak that makes things easier to follow, or adding a bit more guidance where I know it helps.

The more clients I work with, the more I understand where people need that extra clarity or support, so I build that back into my process as I go.

It means every project is shaped not just by my experience, but by the people I’ve already worked with too.

If that’s the kind of approach you’re after, you can find more about working with me via the link in my bio.

Meet Mrs Collective.

Mirren, Ruth and Sarah, that’s us, and that’s where the name comes from. Three women, three businesses, one shared belief that doing business doesn’t have to feel lonely, pressured or like you’re constantly falling behind.

We built Mrs Collective because we wanted a space that actually reflected how women run businesses in real life. Alongside families, full schedules and everything else that comes with it. A community where connection comes first, comparison doesn’t get a look in, and growth looks different for everyone because it should.

The brand you’re seeing today was built to feel like that from the very first glance. Warm, welcoming and honest. No hard sell, no hustle. Just a space that says you belong here.

And if you look closely, you’ll see a little bit of each of us in it. The colours, the warmth, the personality. It’s not just a brand identity, it’s a nod to who we are individually and what we each bring. Three distinct people, one shared vision.

We’re so excited to finally share this with you, and we can’t wait to show you what’s coming next.
