This was a bucket list project!

Spotty Otter is a brand that I love. I buy it for my kids and recommend it to everyone who needs waterproofs to keep their kids warm and dry!

Spotty Otter were bringing back their free Nature Club but wanted to update its look.

The Nature Club is all about getting children outside, exploring nature and connecting with the world around them. It’s about inspiring curiosity and adventure!

So I created a fun, playful brand with the curious otter front and centre, along with lots of little nature inspired illustrations to bring it all to life.

I absolutely loved working on this one!

At the start of the holidays i set up some non-negotiables. It wasn’t about not working at all, it was about balance, finding pockets of time to work, but also to be able to step away and have time away to make memories. Whats having your own business when if you can’t enjoy the flexibility it brings?

Having a week away in Inverness was great and it was super special showing the boys places, I visited when I was younger and have so many memories of.

Think no one can tell it’s AI? They can.

AI posters might look different, but they all seem to look the same.

If you’re using AI to create design work for your business, it will be putting people off!

AI graphics aren’t making you stand out. They’re making your business look and feel like every other business using them too.

Few days late with my June Recap! This month has flown by and now it’s July and I’m on countdown to not only the school holidays but also to when harvest starts and I’m solo parenting when Chris is super busy working on the farm!

Always a joy to spend time with these two lovely ladies! We hosted our second mrs collective day and it was brilliant!

Lupins went wild in the garden! I adore this colour.

Wimbledon starts today, so it felt like the perfect time to show how one event can have more than one visual direction.

I created two mood boards inspired by Wimbledon, both with a completely different feel.

Number One feels more classic, traditional and rooted in heritage.

Number Two feels more playful, social and summery.

Neither direction is wrong. They just create a different feeling.

That’s the thing with branding, there isn’t always one right way to do it. It’s about choosing the direction that feels right for the brand, the audience and the connection you want to create.
